Mercedes gives the badges for free for 250,000 km (155,350 miles) and 500,000 km.
You have to go to the dealer, have the mileage verified, and fill out a form. You send it in the mail to MB USA head office in New Jersey, and you'll get it in the mail.
This has been discussed many times before on this site, along with pictures posted of the badge, the tie pin, and the certificate.
