Last night I diagnosed the klunk in the rear of the 240 as being a bad driver's side axel. This is the rebuilt axel that I bought from the thebenzbin and put in about 30k ago. Although I enjoy working on my cars, replacing a rear axel is not something to do every 30k.

Has anyone else had problems w/ benzbin parts and/or do you reccomend parts from fastlane, mercedes source, etc?


Oddly enough, the rear diff w/ 560k+ and the other rear axel w/ 300k+ were in pretty good shape.
