Now direct sale, 5 spd manual conversion kit

+++++++++SOLD++++++++++++

After reviewing eBay/paypal charges I'm going to try direct sale before relisting.

Mercedes 717.430 W124 300e Manual Transmission 5 speed Swap kit. $1900.00 plus shipping in contUSA (est. $275. I'll refund if less, absorb if more). Free local pickup
This will fit all M103 equipped W124 sedan and TE. It can fit M104 W124 if the M103 flywheel is modified with the addition of the M104 timing magnet (I can include a M104 flexplate as a magnet donor). Check clearance to CPS before trans install. Also, for M104 (94/95 E320) the kit front driveshaft will need to be lengthened. This information is for sedan and TE, I don't know about coupe and cabrio.

Believe that this trans will also fit M103 equipped W201 and W126. Unsure if the other parts will install without modification.

First four gears have approx same ratios as the automatic box. Fifth is overdrive. Put it in 5th and its got legs.

Comes with transmission, proper M103 single mass flywheel (uses 240mm clutch), clutch disc & pressure plate (shows wear), throw-out bearing, pilot bearing, shifter, shift rods and clips, driveshaft (2-piece), pedal assembly, clutch hydraulic hard line, crossmember Flywheel has been resurfaced.

Parts came out of a 1986 300E. I don't know the mileage. Transmission is newer as it's a factory exchange unit (tauschaggregat) p/n 126 260 1001, s/n 292691 as indicated in pictures.

Kit is almost turnkey, except:
Pedal assy is missing over-centering assist spring for clutch (parts available from OEM suppliers)
No rear trans mount (you can use your existing one)
No exhaust pipe bracket (OEM suppliers)
No pilot bearing spacer ring (111-031-02-51, OEM suppliers).
No reservoir to clutch master cylinder hose (203-997-27-52, OEM suppliers).
Note that part numbers may have changed since my last conversion was done in 2017.

I highly recommend installing a new clutch kit (LUK 11025 or equal), both master and slave cylinders, flex disc. etc. while everything is already apart.

You should only need the front driveshaft section. I can delete the rear per your choice. I can also delete the clutch if you are using a new one. The shift boot is trash, the surround wood is poor but has the plastic boot holder that can be transferred to your surround for use with a new boot. Shift knob is usable but has a crack in the rubber.

Free local pickup (preferred), more pictures in the original ebay link above.
