Post bridgestone turanza: 500 miles impression

just swapped to new 16" wheels, and installed turanza LS-H's
these are replacing 15" MXV4'$.

this is my initial impression after 500 miles last weekend:

comfort- ran 36psi at all corners. very smooth at speed on interstate and rural hwy. slightly less compliant over sectioned concrete paving joints. will probably improve when dropped to 30-32 psi after breakin. my initial impression over rough pavement is that they are SLIGHTLY less comfort than the mich$ on rough.

noise- very quiet! possibly less tire noise than the MXV4's. wind and engine noise MUCH more noticable than tires.

grip- VERY good. ran about 50 miles on rural twisties. i felt very confident at good speeds on even the tightest turns. wet grip is SUPPOSED to be VERY good also due to new compounds.

milage- well, hard to say now, but their new dual compound composition is getting rave reviews and shows great promise.

future- im taking a quick run to FLA which should be approx 1500 miles RT. i had heard these tires need 1-2K miles to properly set. i will update my impressions after that trip.

i will post some info on the wheels separately, but short story is $400 for new italian aftermarket MB "sport" wheels to my door with new lugs and 2 sets of caps included.
