It is my understanding that there is no way to obtain oil pressure readings without a test gauge. The idiot light appears only to indicate low oil level.

It is good practice that I obtain and record oil pressure readings before and after the head gasket replacement to ensure all is well.

I have a service test set to read oil pressure but need to know the location of the oil pressure test port.
