Turns out it was a 722.321(300sdl) to 722.358(m103) swap

Everything I read points to B2 as well. My only saving grace is that they say the w126 is the only chassis where it is relatively easy to swap out with trans installed. I’ll give it a test run on the smoked out trans out of the car first.
Seems it died due to a febi filter, the epoxy surrounding the element failed and allowed dirty fluid to bypass the filter
