Put original voltage regulator back in...worked for about a day and same thing wtih this one, surging voltage to 18 volts on acceleration.

The alternator is again 6 months-1yr old max.

Should I just try another regulator? Defective parts? I can't see what I could possibly be doing wrong....installation looks pretty straight forward. Am I missing something?
