"The moral of this story " is not to necessarily hire professionals... it is to get MORE into DIY.... like getting a good wench and lots of cable... and taking off the limbs on the side you don't want it to fall towards... to lighten it up...
Then, a good STihl Chainsaw... and careful cutting with someone operating the wench.... THen you have those toys for your next project... and you can aim higher with each succesive project...
