Ok,OK, Typing a LITTLE too fast.... without speller engaged...

True Story:

I have about 4 acres of trees , mostly mesquite and oak on my place... and love to use my Stihl chainsaw... mostly to take out dead limbs or low limbs which hit me in the face when on the tractor... we keep our place pretty clean underneath due to a rather large aversion to snakes....

So I take my trusty chainsaw, a ladder , and one gallon can of premixed fuel down to this Oak. It is a metal can and I look at the tree and set it on the ground more than twice the distance from the tree that the limb I am going to cut is Long....

I also have a witness , I mean a helper, in case something goes wrong. Like I fall out of the tree . Seems reasonable .

So with a new sharp chain I cut this limb at the trunk of the tree at about 15 feet off the ground. The limb was about 15 inches across at the tree and about 10 feet long.......

Oak is a very strong wood..... even little twigs are hard to break... and it turned out that this limb was intertwined with the limb above it enough to hold its weight... for a while... more specifically long enough for a hearty swing..... so it did... and then let go... launching the limb clear out to my can of fuel and hitting it dead center... completely crushing it. I was laughing so hard I almost could not get down out of the tree....
