Hello all!
Going to be getting my 83 300SD shortly.
Car has 280K miles, getting the car from the original owner, a family friend.

right now, she runs like a dream. Strong turbo, smooth idle, just some light smoke under full throttle.

My question, though, and not to start a heated oil debate, is this:
the car currently does not leak anything. Tight as a drum.
Should I, on my first change, go to a synthethic, or stay with the dino the has had its entire life???

I currently have a New Bettle TDI, and run Mobil DELVAC-1 exclusively in it. It would be nice to keep one diesel oil in the garage.
