My old 59 Ferrari GT 250 PF coupe that I bought with a buddy in 1990 for the price of a small fixer upper at that time, put that much into it again, and sold in 2008, for enough to cover a nice medium sized home at that time to a fellow in England.

I think he used it to make a rare clone of a Vignale bodied racing car (which looks a bit like a fine Italian bodied Henry J) from the Carrera pan Americana.

A couple sold a few years ago for over a mil, but were fully restored and mine was a #3 driver quality needing an engine rebuild. The market has softened now and they are back to a medium sized house today.
