I had a Chevy 350 in an El Camino SS come unglued at 60 mph with almost as much damage. As best we could figure, a valve dropped on the right bank side and disintegrated a piston. The parts from that fell into the cankcase and came up in the left bank, thus destroying a couple of pistons in that side. Some or all of the debris fell back into the crankcase between the crankshaft and the block causing catostropic damage to both as well as the oilpan. In short, the only reuseable parts of the engine were the intake manifold and the flywheel.
