W123 diesel Mercedes are absolutely terrible cars.
They smoke, smell horridly like diesel fuel, and make unbelievable clanking noises that make women think you are a bum. Extended exposure to diesel fumes likely causes cancer. The horsehair used in the seat cushions is a known allergen. They rust upon the slightest exposure to road salt.
You should not be buying these cars - ever!
