I was thinking about this again last night. The seat is held to the rails by several phillips head screws on each side. At least one of them is inaccessible until you get the rail into the right position so the screw is accessible through a hole in the rail. So if you try to remove the seat from the rails while still in the car you'll get frustrated really fast. Just do the four bolt thing. And Jim, thanks for the reminder about the seat belt.
