actually... i got my 1st ticket in over 12 years about 2 years ago near the airport on atlanta's loop interstate I-285, which is posted at 55mph. the guy cut me some slack and wrote it up under 75. i thought oh, maybe $100. atlanta has new systems that let you pay via CC over the phone or on the web.

my ticket = $325 !!!
that would be $650 in a "doubled fine" zone.

FYI- the speed limit on unmarked roads in residential and business developments is 25 in most states, and 30 in some. do all of the moral police responding earlier adhere to that law? i think not.

i drive slow in my neighborhood out of respect to the safety of residents (read children), not due to the "rules" imposed by the authorities.
