Ok found the Garrett tag see picture. Next week I'll solicit some prices. Its confirmed the turbo seal has failed. The shaft does not have any play so I'll also research how go rebuild just in case but I hate the thoughts of waiting a few weeks for parts which seems to be the norm lately.
