Obviously, the wood trim doesn't have anything to do with the shifter alignment. But yeah, it was the changing of the knob that caused the misalignment. I probably just knocked something out of alignment. I was hoping there was a good write up with pictures of how to adjust the alignment. I have a feeling that the bushing are in good shape.
