I'm an older guy and I drive a 2000 Toyota Landcruiser. It's built like a tank and you can put all the weight you have on the door to help you. There is also a grab handle on the A pillar to assist getting in and getting out.

The gas milage is terrible, about 11 in the city, 15 on the road, but I just slide in and out. I do have to boost myself up a bit to get in, but getting out is a breeze.

It's got over 300,000 on it and it runs like new.
