Hi Ya'll - I need to replace my Alternator but am unable to remove it. I checked various postings/ videos and Tech Articles but my 06 E350 is different from any I have gotten help from. There is no room to lower the Alt downward and pulling it out upward is blocked by a gizmo bolted to the right cylinder head. Looks like there are 3 or 4 bolts/screws holding it in place. I have a WSM but it's not very user friendly and I have been unable to find this part (mostly because I don't know what it is!) ;-)
It has several vacuum hoses going to it and an electrical connector also. Check out the photos -- hopefully they will help with the ID...
