Have you tried Carfax? You can usually detect an odometer roll back there. If you don't want to pay for a report, get the VIN number and see if anyone here already has carfax access.

The other thing to consider if it IS really low mileage is that it was parked for awhile. This can be harder on a car than actually driving it a little bit. Condensation can cause a lot of problems.
