On my 190D 2.2, you can slam the clutch without any finnesse at all and it won't stall the engine. It's amazing, my other experience with manual cars was when I was in Guam on business. They had a Nissan Sentra manual gas 4cyl. That clutch was so slick and the engine so sick that every takeoff from a standing start I'd have to rev up the engine and really heat the clutch up. I could smell burnt clutch everywhere I went.
Not a good experience.
