Shooting deaths at movie

Oh boy, The world was graced with a piece of crap called “The Forever Purge,” a movie franchise that started with a plot point about all crimes being legal for one night a year. The original Star Trek had an episode featuring about the same thing.

Who knows, maybe this waste of skin would have gone out and shot two people anyway, but I’m telling you, people with weak minds are prone to suggestion and weird fantasy.

I’m not suggesting thought police or draconian censorship, just saying maybe this is something we ought to think about. I read a great line years ago, suggesting that “shouting theater in the middle of a crowded fire” was probably not useful.

But I dunno, always struck me as weird that the Aurora Colorado shooting took place during a filming featuring the seriously creepy joker portrayal by Heath Ledger.

There’s good evidence that the really weird roles can have a deleterious effect on the actor involved. Shelley Duvall reportedly was seriously traumatized for some time by her participation in the movie “The Shining.” Weird, weird movie directed by a very weird person, Stanley Kubrick. I was supposed to say the great genius Stanley Kubrick. I’m sorry, the guy was an ass and a head case.
