Personally, I have had the damndest time trying to find a new car with an 8 track player, its like they dont make them anymore! How am I supposed to play my Kansas greatest hits cartridge?

Most cars these days have aux ports that will accommodate any audio signal. CDs can be converted to digital/medialess pretty easily, and with minimal loss. Analog audio can be converted to lossless FLAC and played on a phone or other device...not sure if most in car audio/USB can read FLAC. My Jeep Uconnect plays them no problem via USB.

Old tech is old tech. I prefer not to have to hunt for, and change physical media every 45-60 minutes on a longer car ride. One thing I do miss is the standardization of the DIN slots. Any upgrades or replacements are OEM only in most cases, forget aftermarket radios unless you want to rewire half the car (and assuming it is not a CANBUS).
