Consider a sky redline or solstice GXP too. Twice the torque of an S2000 out of the box and more hp, lower down. Somewhat limited aftermarket, but they can be made very competitive. I love my sky redline, typical GM interior with amazing engine and chassis, but it looks great. It also came stock with 245s all around which gives you a lot of meat to work with on a small car with stock sizes. Last I checked, it ran in scca A Stock alongside boxsters and s2000s. When they came out, a base solstice won nationals in its class, I am always amazed they never really got taken seriously as a miata or s2k competitor.
