I likely mentioned this earlier in the thread. There is a wiki on the rear wheel bearing change. One instruction that should not be followed is using a punch to push/knock the rear wheel hub out because the threaded area is thin and easily damaged.

You don't want to damage the hub because 10 years ago they were like $325 each and the may even be no longer available which means searching for a used on.

Also the most often used methods to pull the hub off damages at least one of the bearings.
