It is great that you are trying to be preemptive towards future problems; however, in this case I think the buzzer issue doesn't by itself indicate other problems.

Unrelated to the buzzer but aiming at the feeling of a worn ignition tumbler, if the car is a nice long term keeper consider new factory cut keys by VIN and possibly a new tumbler. The difference is amazing.
