Ok 2001 s500 80k 5.0l v-8 so here’s the deal….I’m looking at replacing parts of the power steering system meaning the Pump/Reservoir/steering rack/outer tie rods….well, when I ordered from pelican this last time, they sent me a new reservoir that’s got a white plastic washer at the top just inside the lid that’s not coming out and there is no way for there to be an internal filter like my original. Question is can I put an inline power steering filter in line with the reservoir and if so does it connect to the smaller of the two fittings?
