I dont know for sure what year the #22 head was released, I do recall reading posts that the OM603 rod benders 94 onwards had them. In either event the 22 head was the latest and greatest evolution of the design. This is likely the most desirable head for the 603. Many folks have used this head as a replacement for a cracked earlier version. It's a good unit.
