Avoidance of the virus? In cold weather when large grocery stores are heated. Go the very first thing in the mornings. Aerosol clouds can exist for hours in low humidity situations. Cloth as well as poor fitting masks are almost useless in that type of situation..
I believe that is pretty common with most airborne virus types. Not rocket science really. When humidity is high the virus particles get wet and sink fast. They float nicely in dryer air.
Six hours is average airborne time in dry enough air. So next morning first thing it should be settled out. It also is good training if a mutation with really serious issues comes along. Chances of that are impossible to estimate. The scientists have been concerned from the start though that it is possible. Yet far from a certainty.. .
Currently the two vaccinations and the booster seem to reduce serious illness in most cases is pretty well proven. So obviously the first line of defense is to have all the shots. Statistics are pretty solid that it reduces the chances of really serious illness issues. Beyond any subjectivity now. It is no walk in the park to go through serious issues with this virus.
I should perhaps add that a dryer nasal passage system is less likely to act as a natural barrier to virus fragemets getting too far into the breathing system. I really try to keep it simple and understandable as it is.
People that will not get vaccinated are a concern. They risk being so sick they would preffer death in some cases. Common sense is it is just not worth it. Also there is no economic barrier as the shots are provided at no direct cost. . Not much is out there now that is. Common sense in general is worth using. Lack of it is endemic.
