That track is about 30m from me and I did a Rusty Wallace racing experience on it in 2014. I was the fastest one out there and lapped one of the guys at least 3 times in the 15 laps I had.
Glad you're ok, sorry the car isn't. Assuming it'll be a donor for another racecar?

Yeah. They asked at the driver's meeting if we wanted them left or removed and I think it was half and half. But I lost. I'd be ok with the wall huggers but in the racing line sucked. There was one in the 4th turn I used to make a ****load of passes but I could made them without it. I was definitely top 4 fastest and I never even adjusted the valves or set the pump timing. I found a part out car and i'm buying the shell this coming week. 1 month to get it race ready. I'll have every bit of power I can get out of it this time. I believe it's an 85 and hopefully has the bigger Garret turbo. I won't be burdened with carefully disassembling the nice interior or much stripping of anything. So it should be motor and trans swap, shocks, maybe some suspension bushings and cutting and welding back in my safety gear and rub rails. I'll try to remember to get some more pics on this build.
