I own a 1998 slk230 kompressor that recently started having issues with the hardtop coming off all the way.

Im not car savvy at all and know literally nothing. However, after some research I'm pretty sure it isn't the hydraulic pump (since the top retracts etc) and am assuming it's a sensor causing the issue.
