Since you live in San Diego, I'd take the car to this shop that JimF recommends:

They should know what to look for. Since this car has an M104 engine between the years of 1993-1995, you need to have the engine wiring harness checked. If it hasn't been replaced yet, it will need it (the part is about $500).

Also, the early headgaskets on this engine leak oil at the right rear corner of the headgasket.
