Exclamation W201 2.6L to a 3.0L

Hey guys, I have about 520k miles on my 2.6 and I have a 3.0 that I want to put in at some point. I have the 3.0 already, but before I put it in I want to make sure I have everything in order for the swap as well as clear up a few things. When swapping the motor over do I need to keep anything other than the actual motor that would prevent the car from running properly or cause a fitment issue? The reason is I want to keep everything from my 2.6 (water pump, PS pump, radiator, alternator, fuel injectors, fuel pumps, etc.) I only intend to use the actual block for this project if possible. Also, I'm going to evaluate all of the internal (bottom end and top end) of the 3.0 to decide if I need to completely replace everything there. I've never done this nor have I had an opportunity to do this so that's why I want to get it all done and get some valuable insight from those that have done it before. Even if you've made mistakes before, I'd ;like to hear it so I can know what to avoid doing. In the meantime I'll keep driving with the 2.6 while I'm getting the 3.0 prepared, maybe I'll end up reaching the 1 million milestone.
