My brother had the same issue and this is what he said
"The fan reostat was shorted and the fan was on continuously. Caused by water coming into the cabin because of clogged drain holes"

Also
"I figured it out when I heard the soft whirring sound coming from the fans with the car off and then looked it up online and there were folks that said that the reostat failure causes this."

And about fuse location in trunk
"the fuses in the trunk are for the roof, there are fuses on the driver side the panel is visible with the drive door open on the side of the dash"
