Electrical connection plug issues
ILUVMILS, thank you for your last post. I appreciated it.
The locking lever you mentioned does not seem to remove the electrical connector plug. Which position should the locking lever be? the Farthest away on either ends does not even make any movement on the connector plug removal. Do i need to pry inside the lining of the electrical connector plug using a screwdrive to force the plug to come out?
See the pictures below. The red circles shows the level position and I am not sure if it should go to the top opening lock and that is the furthest it can go.
Also see the diagram regarding to the connector plug. 42-0816.pdf and shows the electrical connector detach from the asr hydraulic unit (A7/3) attach at. Follow installation note.
I want to replace my other abs/asr unit in my Mercedes because the pump is not working. It is also has the same plug connector type that is still stuck as well. According to the repair diagram that I saw, nothing was said about the plug connector is fused. I was under the impression that the plug connector can be remove by itself not realizing that the plug connector could be possibly be fused.
A reader responded by saying Are you sure all that must lift off ?, or just the plug with the wire going in to it ? could be fused together.
In addition. I got a response from the seller who sold to me that the abs/asr pump unit with the wires cut on the plug connector. He said his only thoughts would be to squeeze the handles on the connector and pull on it. Sometimes it takes more force than usual to get the connector off.
I am not sure what exactly the handles the seller was referring to.
Any comments, advice or feedback is greatly appreciated.
