We purchased a 2012 Gl450 in February of this year. It had 55K on it and the repair history was routine maint. and rear air springs (Airmatic) while under warranty. The prior owner sold it because it had a leaky front strut and the dealer quoted $4K to fix it. I replaced both front struts , compressor and valve assy for $1300 using Arnot aftermarket parts. Have not done anything more since. Be aware that there is a "Do Not Drive" recall open on all Gl's 2007 -2012 for corrosion on the brake booster. Overall these seem to be pretty reliable with exception of the Airmatic system. If you do your own work even that is manageable. We like the GL more than the ML350 we had before as it rides better is quieter and more comfortable. The gas mileage is not great 16-17 around town and a steady 20 on the hwy running 75-80. A clean low mileage example will run in the $20K range.
