nope, you have to change the phone.
i know i used to work for radio trash.
plus my bosses father who teaches about cellular communications, aka started cobra.
(a cb manufacturer) taught me some things.
besides, analog goes farther. ya, digital is clearer but,you probobly have a 3-5watt transmitter in your system. i would personally prefer that over digital 5-100 milliwatts.
