I have seen SEVERAL W123’s with crimped on hoses. My guess is the previous owners didn’t know they were rebuildable, and went to auto zoo or similar and bought cheapo replacements.

If the stock hoses are in place, the hose fittings are fairly simple to rebuild, iirc, the fitting reverse threads into the hose, then the collar winches tight over… it could be the reverse… it’s been a while.
