Obviously worn distributor caps, rotors, points, condensers, wirings need to be addressed. Back in the day, we actually had a little points file to smooth the surfaces. For setting the points, just set the gap on the high spot of any lobe (sorry, I don't have the specs for your motor's points}.


A complete tuneup of any motor should start with a check of valve adjustment.
