Consider replacing the shoes, they tend to literally fall apart from age even if the lining isn't worn away. As maintenance let drops of oil run down the cable into the casing where it comes out of the floor and attaches to the e-brake pedal.

Good point. I didn’t order the parts, but it’s not a if deal to pull again and replace. The rear rotors and calipers in this new 350sd are seriously bad…
