I trigger road rage often, because I try to coast up to red traffic lights. I had two incidents last week: a school bus driver, and some Hausfrau in a Buick SUV.

Both of the people I offended pulled into the left lane, accelerated, passed me, got in front of me, and then had to romp on the brakes to stop in the back of the line of stopped cars. I came up right behind them a few seconds later. If I don't have to speed up before coming to a stop or catching the cars ahead of me if they start moving with a green light, I'm not impeding traffic.

Using my hyper-mile-ing techniques, I get phenomenal MPG. My all-season tires last 60k+ miles, and my brakes last 120k+ miles. We went into town last night for dinner in the X3 (xDrive 30i), a 33-mile round trip. We got 36.9 MPG.

I was at 37.1 MPG pulling into the driveway. But, I have to stop and let Frau Putzer out before pulling into our cramped garage. There's not enough room for front seat passengers to get in or out of our cars inside the garage.

Our next house will have 4' 4" between an X3 centered in Bay #1 and the side wall of the garage, and 4' 5" between an X3 centered in Bay #1 and the drive-on lift in Bay #2.
I'm going to paint a yellow line down the center of the bays, so we can use 3D Surround View to pull the BMW's in perfectly centered in the bays, sort of like those lines on airport ramps. As with our current garage, I'll also have a hanging wiffle ball. When it touches the windshield, centered above the center speaker in the dashboard, the car is where it's supposed to be.
