I'm guessing that the "1976" number was a typo

Actually, my dad used to own a '76 GMC K-20 4x4 with a 350...the truck (particularly the engine) nickel-and-dimed him to death and got 5 mpg on a good day (going downhill with a tailwind), but when it was running, that truck would go anywhere...
