I don't know what that thing is unless it a compressor without a clutch, the power steering pump would be right above it (whatever IT is). You need to find someone with a car or find one on a used car lot and take a look under the hood so yo can compare.

Is the water pump on these bolted to the engine like usual? I was thinking the double pully in the middle picture was the water pump?
