Not at all. I learned how to float gears in a big truck, and it was a natural progression to the pickup. It's all just a matter of timing, and using the tach if you have one. The lack of a tach is what has kept me from taking the time to learn the Benzes.

When driving the truck, I use the two finger rule. I only use two fingers on the shifter as to prevent using too much force on it during gear changes.
