so far I've managed to re-steer around $500 in new purchases to non-amazon venders since amazon.com decided to give me the short shrift. I have been able to buy the same product(s) at the same or less money than amazon and in some cases a better warranty/guarantee was offered. All of this over a $108 refund they owe me.
I'm sending a detailed order/inventory sheet to amazon head quarters showing how much they have lost in sales from my hip national bank.
Interestingly, one of the main reason Wal-Mart and Sam's Club grew at the rates they did was because of Sam Walton's 100% money back, no questions asked return policy. You show up at Wal-mart's customer service desk with the purchase receipt and a resellable product and you get your money back. No muss, no fuss. Seems like amazon hasn't learned this valuable lesson.
