Back when dinosaurs ruled the earth the difference in a normal DL and the top of the line Chauffers license, in Texas anyway, was ten bucks. Pay a little more and you get the full ride.

Then the state changed it to normal DL every seven years and Chaufs had to pay renew every year.

Still, no further testing. Just hand over the cash.

I got the full license so I could drive a big truck if necessary. Plus you needed one for motorhomes.

Then came the big shake up. You had to prove you could drive a big truck. So I had to rent a bit U-Haul to take the test. Then they changed it to no more U-Hauls. Now it had to be a full sized semi.

So I dropped down to a normal DL. And then that went to every four years.

I think this is what Trump is taking about when he says to make America great again. Full ride DLs for just a small uncharge.
