Ummm...the drums ARE an instrument, thank you very much.

:p
OK, I'm sure you're all on the edge of your computer chairs awaiting my answers (

), so here goes:
Favorite rock drummers: John Bonham (Led Zep), Alex Van Halen (Van Halen, obviously...), Stewart Copeland (the Police), John Densmore (the Doors), Phil Collins (Genesis, and especially his early solo stuff) Mick Fleetwood (Fleetwood Mac), Stephen Perkins (Jane's Addiction), Chad Smith (Red Hot Chilli Peppers), Bill Ward (Black Sabbath), Prince (Prince played drums, and most other things, on most of his older albums), Dave Grohl (Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age)
Jazz drummers: Max Roach, Buddy Rich, Art Blakey, Steve Smith
There's many more players that I appreciate of course, but these are the ones that have had the most influence on the way I play, and/or are the ones I listen to the most.
