Couple of years ago I replaced the original steering wheel of my 300SE with one from an early 300E, tiny bit smaller and thicker. But recently installed a refurbished Sportline steering wheel I found at the junkyard, needed to get used to the look but is a joy to use.
The large steering wheel was a safety feature, larger area to catch the body...
