Installed them the other day. I should have watched the installation video first. You should have seen me trying to shove the light through the small hole in the dust boot. Once I found out the light disassembles from the base it was a piece of cake. have not driven at total dark just dusk so far but they seem as least as bright and the light has a crisper more focused look and if they last longer than a year it was worth it.
My wife who knows nothing about led headlights commented on how crisp the light was before I explained what they were. The color is very pleasing white not bluish like some.
