For me at 80, what I notice most about aging:

1. balance issues keep me from doing roof work. Seems to come and go as I get older.

2. Too much glare during night time driving. Possibly due to cataracts slowly forming.

3. More picky about people I associate with... don't want to waste time with a'holes

4. This year, 2023, have had 3 types of cancer and 1st heart issues ( frequent PVC's ). Hoping to stretch this roller coaster ride out for at least 5 more years spent with a few good friends. At the end, if possible, plan to take a long sight seeing trip & die somewhere nice to be. Also to avoid the drama that peaks near end of life.

5. My suggestions:

, keep doing the work, you'll probably do it better than most contractors... might take a little longer but still very satisfying.

Have checkups more often, skin, colonoscopies, if possible whole body PET and MRI of brain. Nuclear stress test, etc...

Have a fairly healthy diet. One of my favorite recipes I call the ' one to one ' pico. Basically chop up 1 of each tomato, onion, bell pepper ( not green ), 1 bunch cilantro, 1 can of rotel for flavor and 1 can of black beans rinsed to remove salt. I used this diet to lose about 30 pounds 20 years ago. Still haven't gained back the weight.
